Arguably Australia’s most musically and vocally accurate Fleetwood Mac tribute, the band features the incredible vocals of Melbourne singers Sue Jones (Lead Vocals), Jordan Z (Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar) and Debbi Arpini (Vocals, Percussion) - backed by a stellar line-up of prolific musicians, including Peter Valentine on Keys & vocals (Burns, Cotton & Morris), Rick Petropoulos on Bass (The Ferrets), Dave Hampton on Lead Guitar (The Australian Madonna Show) and Fallon Williams III on Drums (Humble Pie, Bryan Adams, Peter Frampton). The band members have collectively performed and toured with numerous Australian and International artists. In fact, Drummer Fallon Williams III may just be the only Australian Fleetwood Mac Tribute show member who has actually jammed with Stevie Nicks!
Fleetwood Max performances are often described as “The next best thing to The Real Deal” due to the amazing accuracy of the rhythm section, Dave Hampton’s note-for-note recreation of Lindsay Buckingham’s distinct guitar solos, Peter Valentine superbly and acccurately mirroring Chrstine's keyboard & piano techniques, Jordan Z nailing the rich and expressive elements of Lindsay's voice, Sue Jones’ ability to recreate both Stevie and Christine’s unique vocal stylings with uncanny precision, and the stunning harmonies that are such an integral component to the authenticity of Fleetwood Mac’s sound.
"Most Fleetwood Mac tribute acts focus on filling the 'roles' of the main singers (Stevie, Christine and Lindsay), but for me it felt much more important to ensure we were recreating the original musical and vocal experience with as much precision and respect for the original sound as possible."
"My natural vocal style lends itself to the Christine McVie sound but my look has been often described as resembling Stevie Nicks, which is why friends and music colleagues would continually suggest I put a Fleetwood Mac tribute band together. I've always been a huge Fleetwood Mac fan, so it was a welcomed suggestion and natrual progression!"
"When putting this act together, I originally decided to perform both the Stevie and Christine roles vocally as I had not come across any other female singers that could fulfill either of these roles with the vocal style I was envisaging , and it just made sense at that time to take on both roles. I worked hard on recreating the vocal nuances of both Christine and Stevie and I felt it was much more important (particularly for the 'Die-Hard' Mac fans who are our target audience) to choose musicians and singers who could collaboratively recreate the overall Fleetwood Mac sound as closely and authentically as possible, regardless of their appearance or instrument of choice. After a couple of initial line-up changes, we found our band and we finally had 'the sound', and it's something I am immensely proud of. We are a 7 Piece band who perform Fleetwood Mac's (and some of Stevie Nicks') most iconic hits 100% live. Each member was hand-picked for their amazing talent and each has spent countless hours perfecting their respective performance, each adding next-level commitment and authenticity to the act. Every time we are on stage together I am filled with pride at what we have achieved" - Sue Jones
